On Tuesday, June 6, 1944 British and U.S forces attack the Normandy coast of France to begin their invasion on the Nazis. Five beaches were where the Allies landed which were the Sword, Juno, Omaha, Gold and Utah beach. Which was a surprised attack on them because of a successful attempt to trick Adolf Hitler to think the attack and landings would occur north near Calais. In order to be more successful, decoys were setup in order by "Operation Glimmer" and "Operation Taxable" to distract German forces from the real landings, giving the edge to the Allies.
